Memorial Day Weekend (a little late...)

What a wonderful Memorial Day weekend we had! It started off on Thursday night with our Sunday School class coming over to our house for a cookout. We had a great turnout...13 couples! God has blessed us greatly with our class. Our class was created when our group completed the NearlyNewlywed class at Dawson. Ryan and I were engaged and the rest of the couples were newly married or also engaged. We have grown together so much over the past four years. We are all at the same life stage and now the babies are coming...and there are lots of them! These couples mean so much to Ryan and I and have become some of our best friends. Christian friends are truly one of God's greatest blessings! I had my camera out and all ready to go at the cookout and I got so distracted with hosting I totally forgot to take pictures! I have posted an old picture below of most of the girls at our baby shower in October. Love these girls!!

Saturday morning Jonathan had a workday at Camp Dawson for his Eagle project. His project is building a sand volleyball court at the camp that will be used by the school age kids during day camp this Summer. Jonathan has done a great job and I know this project is going to be used by so many people! Jonathan had a group of helpers including Ryan, my Dad and Stephen. Anna Leigh, Mom and I brought their lunch to them and got to see the progress.

Playing in the sand with Pop. The shorts are a little too big!
Having fun in Daddy's John Deer hat
Sunday morning he met Heather and Brad Neighbors for lunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe. It was fabulous and we always love catching up with them. Anna Leigh got all the attention! Heather and Brad are going to be the best parents one day!!

Monday afternoon we went to the DeRieuxs for BBQ and swimming! Thank goodness the weather cleared up so Anna Leigh could swim! She had a wonderful time and never fussed to get out of the pool. She is our little water baby and is going to love the beach next week!
