Happy Daddy's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy!! I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who is the best daddy I would ever imagine. Anna Leigh is blessed to have an amazing daddy who will always be there for her all her life and love her so much! I always knew Ryan would be a great dad and that was one of the qualities that was important to me in a husband. Before we had Anna Leigh, our yellow lab Brinkley was our child (and still is, we just have two kids now) and I have watched Ryan take such good care of him and love him. So of course with a real child, he has done the same and more. Anna Leigh loves to play with her daddy...she is and will always be a daddy's girl. But that is just fine with me...a daddy plays such an important role in a girl's life and I love watching them together.

Anna Leigh made her daddy this frame at school and he loves it...it now sits on his desk at work. He also got a new ladder and bags for the vegetables from his garden

Beach Baby

Ryan and I have our own beach baby! Anna Leigh loved the beach. Last week we spend the week in Destin, Fl and it was beautiful. We could not have asked for better weather..sunny everyday, a little bit of a breeze and NO OIL! We spent our days at the beach in the morning and the pool in the later afternoon. The beach is much different with a baby, but I would say it was one of our very best trips because Anna Leigh was with us! My Mom, Stephen, Jonathan and Jonathan's girlfriend Jordan joined us (My Dad was not able to make it...we missed him so much!) I had the best time getting Anna Leigh ready for the beach each day...we had to have matching everything...swimsuit, sunglasses, sun hat and towels! Jordan took some beautiful pictures of our family in the evening one night on the beach. They are wonderful and I will post then next. She is such a talented photographer!

Ready for the beach!

Anna Leigh started sitting up when we got to the beach...so nice for playtime in the sand!
Sleepy time with Gigi

First time in the water...she was a little scared by the waves
Playing in her suntent
Hanging out with Uncle Stephen
Dinner at Pompano Joe's (yes Jonathan is being silly and "picking his nose" in the backgroud)
Beach baby!
Laying out with Mommy (in the shade of course)

We celebrated our fourth anniversay! Here we are at dinner at Louisana Langaippe....it was one of the best meals I've ever had at the beach!! We will be back!

Memorial Day Weekend (a little late...)

What a wonderful Memorial Day weekend we had! It started off on Thursday night with our Sunday School class coming over to our house for a cookout. We had a great turnout...13 couples! God has blessed us greatly with our class. Our class was created when our group completed the NearlyNewlywed class at Dawson. Ryan and I were engaged and the rest of the couples were newly married or also engaged. We have grown together so much over the past four years. We are all at the same life stage and now the babies are coming...and there are lots of them! These couples mean so much to Ryan and I and have become some of our best friends. Christian friends are truly one of God's greatest blessings! I had my camera out and all ready to go at the cookout and I got so distracted with hosting I totally forgot to take pictures! I have posted an old picture below of most of the girls at our baby shower in October. Love these girls!!

Saturday morning Jonathan had a workday at Camp Dawson for his Eagle project. His project is building a sand volleyball court at the camp that will be used by the school age kids during day camp this Summer. Jonathan has done a great job and I know this project is going to be used by so many people! Jonathan had a group of helpers including Ryan, my Dad and Stephen. Anna Leigh, Mom and I brought their lunch to them and got to see the progress.

Playing in the sand with Pop. The shorts are a little too big!
Having fun in Daddy's John Deer hat
Sunday morning he met Heather and Brad Neighbors for lunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe. It was fabulous and we always love catching up with them. Anna Leigh got all the attention! Heather and Brad are going to be the best parents one day!!

Monday afternoon we went to the DeRieuxs for BBQ and swimming! Thank goodness the weather cleared up so Anna Leigh could swim! She had a wonderful time and never fussed to get out of the pool. She is our little water baby and is going to love the beach next week!

5 months and May Madness

May has been a crazy crazy month for us and I am so behind on posting! Birthdays (including Ryan's), graduation, baby dedication, 3 events at our house, end of school, Mother's Day and keeping up with our now five month old!! Here's a little bit about what we've been up to this month-

I cannot believe Anna Leigh is already 5 months old! She's growing so much and has become facinated by her feet as you can see from this picture!

My first Mother's Day was wonderful! I woke up Saturday morning to this..Ryan, Anna Leigh and Brinkley gave me flowers and a hot biscuit for breakfast! Sunday Anna Leigh gave me the most perfect card!

Sunday afternoon on Mother's Day we went to the park with my Wolbach family and had a cookout. Here is Anna Leigh with her cousin Paxton (my counsin Michael's son). They had a great time playing...isn't he so cute!
Ryan's birthday-we went to one of his favorite restaurants, Saw's BBQ, for lunch and brought home banana pudding for his "cake". Notice his saw candle...perfect for Ryan! Anna Leigh is wearing her overall jumper picked out by her Daddy.

Anna Leigh gave Ryan a basket to collect all his fresh veggies from his garden. Of course she will help too.

Birthday dinner at La Dama in Uncle Chris's sunglasses

Birthday celebration at our house with the Wolbach's. We celebrated several birthdays-Grandmother, Ryan, Uncle Charlie, Chad and Grace

I love my family!

First swim in Mimi and GanGan's pool. It was a bit cold so Mommy didn't get in very long and Anna Leigh only put her feet in. More pictures coming from Memorial Day swimming!
