Three Months!

Little Anna Leigh is now 3 months old!! Everyone told me she would grow up so fast and it is so true!! Ryan and I are really enjoying this age because she's interacting with us more and more. Here's a little more about what is going on at 3 months...

-Her unofficial weight (taken by us not by the doctor) is 12 lbs.
-She loves sitting in her Bumbo. It takes more head strength than the swing or bouncy seat, so she only sits in it for about 5 mins at a time for now. We also tried out Mimi's exersaucer and it was a hit!
-She's doing great holding her head up! She loves to look around and likes to be held more like a big girl than a baby!
-We had our first ear infection :( She did great and is now on her medicine which seems to be making her feel better.
-Our little beach baby had her first family vacation
-Her pretty head of hair is growing and her eyes are staying blue!
Each new month brings with it so many joys and surprises. What will 4 months bring??!!!

Rosemary Beach

We just got back from our first family vacation! We took a short trip to the beach and had a great time. We spent two nights in a cottage at Rosemary Beach and loved it! We will definetely be back! The third night we joined Ryan's family at Baytown Wharf in SanDestin. Anna Leigh enjoyed seeing her Mimi and GanGan and playing with her cousins. We really enjoyed being together and Anna Leigh loved having her Mommy and Daddy 24 hours a day! She was so relaxed on vacation that she slept through the night twice...that's never happened before! We look forward to many more family trips. Enjoy the pictures!

Two Months

Miss Anna Leigh is now two months old (at this point 2 1/2 months old) and changing so much everyday! Here are her 2 months stats from Dr.Bill and what's she's up to these days.

Weight-11 lbs 1 oz  55th percentile
Height-22" 50th percentile
Head-15.5" 45th percentile

So she falls right in the middle of the charts. These days she loves to-

-SMILE!! It is the best thing to see her smiling at us! She smiles with her eyes.
-Laugh...a few nights ago she laughed for us several times. It was the cutest thing! I couldn't stop laughing myself I was so happy! It was perfect timing because Ryan and I were both home. She hasn't done it again, but we hope she will again soon.
-Strolls...we have enjoyed a few warms days lately and she loves to get out for strolls around our neighborhood. Sometimes Daddy gets home in time to go with us!
-Sleeping in her crib-I was really worried about this because Anna Leigh had been sleeping in her cradle swing in our room since she was born. At 2 months, it was time to move her into her crib. Because the swing provided constant motion we weren't sure what she would think about the crib. One Friday night a few weeks ago we put her to bed in her crib and got ready for a night with little sleep. To our surprise, she did great and only woke up once which is normal! She's now napping and sleeping at night in her crib just fine.
-Brinkley-she loves that dog! And he loves her. She will smile at him and when she's in her bouncy seat he will come right up to her and gets in her face to say hello. I can tell these two are going to be big buddies.
-Playing on the playmat with cousin Beau-This really is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Beau is just 2 months older than Anna Leigh and they love to lay beside each other on the playmat. They both know the other one is there and they look at each other and kick their legs and move their arms. Anna Leigh likes to put her hand in Beau's mouth. These two will grow up together and be great friends! I'll be sure to take some pictures next time they play together.
-Watching the Olympics-Ryan and I don't let Anna Leigh watch TV much but one night she happened to be sitting in front of the TV in her seat and the Olympics were on. We looked over to see that she couldn't take her eyes off of it! Her favorite events were skiing and hockey :)

Here is her two month chair picture. Joining her is her bear Cotton.

This is her one month chair picture. What a difference!!

Snow, church and Valentine's Day!

Anna Leigh had several "firsts" these last couple of weeks....
    Her first trip to church...
Here she is all dressed up and ready to go! Since she had not had her shots yet, she went to our Sunday School class and did wonderful! Mommy and Daddy were very proud. She didn't make a peep during the lesson (she got a good nap in) and all our friends enjoyed seeing her!
Her first snow...

Not the first time she's seen snow (what a cold winter it's been!) but the first time she's been able to get out and explore! We bundled her up and out we went! It was still snowing when we went outside and she wan't too thrilled with the snowflakes hitting her face. We made it a few minutes and got some good pictures.

Her first Valentine's Day...

Daddy brought her 3 beautiful pink roses and a sweet card! We put them in a vase in her room so she could enjoy them everyday.
