A Fun Fourth and 7 months

I can't believe it's already time for the 7 months picture! We have two pictures this month. A traditional one and one that shows what are days are like. Anna Leigh is trying to crawl out of the chair and it also shows so much of her little personality! She's not crawling yet, but is so close. I expect her to take off any day now. One morning last week we found her sitting up in her crib! She went from laying down to sitting up all by herself! Mommy is not sure she's quite ready for a mobile baby yet...life is about to get even more crazy!!

We also had a wonderful fourth of July spent with our families and friends. Saturday afternoon we had a neighborhood ice cream party at one of our neighbors house. It was so much fun to visit with our neighbors and watch the kids play! Saturday night we had a wedding shower for my friend Leslie and Scott. They are getting married in October in Savannah and we were excited to celebrate. Leslie and I have been friends since middle school and I am thrilled to be part of her special day! She is a doctor and will finish her residency next year and she and Scott are moving to North Carolina (he's a doctor too). We are so proud of her!!

Sunday we went to Ryan's parents house for swimming and dinner. Later that night we met Gigi and watched the fireworks. Anna Leigh loved them! She could not take her eyes off the fireworks and wasn't scared a bit. Ryan and I will make this a tradition every year!

Monday we went to my parents house for lunch. We had a yummy meal (thanks Stephen!!) and enjoyed seeing everyone so much! Of course Anna Leigh loved being the center of attention and playing with Kate and Sandy (My parents and Stephen's Golden Retrievers).

After lunch we headed to Ryan's family farm near Clanton. His family was there and we enjoyed playing, antique shopping (with his Mom and Bridget) and another great meal. Anna Leigh loved playing with Leah and Beau as always :)

6 Months

Our sweet baby is six months old! She has now been with us over half a year and Ryan and I can't believe how quickly she's growing. This is such a fun age and we are loving it. She's now playing with her toys more and doing "big girl" things. Here's what she's up to these days:

She weighed 16 lbs 14 oz and was 24.5 inches long
She has a tooth! The second one is on the way and we expect to see it any day now!
She's sitting up by herself
She's on stage 2 foods but sometimes she's not real interested in eating. She likes fruits the best and really likes Hawaiian Delight just like her daddy did 31 years ago!
She loves playing in the exersaucer (thanks Shea :)
She talks all the time
She sits in highchairs at restaurants and in the grocery cart
She loves swimming and we try to go every chance we get
She loves swinging in her swing in our front yard
She loves playing with Brinkley and he provides great entertainment if I'm trying to get something done
She takes baths in the big tub

Brooklyn came over to play and the girls had a great time! Brooklyn's Mommy (Erica) and I have been friends since first grade. The girls are just 3 weeks apart! Here they are having a tea party!

While we were at the beach a few weeks ago, Jonathan's girlfiriend Jordan took some beautiful pictures of Anna Leigh on the beach one evening. They are very professional looking and I love them! Jordan plans to major in art/photography in college and be a professional photographer. She is so talented I know she's going to do well!
